What happens when I go on holiday?
Firstly, our Personal Trainers can provide you with training support no matter where in the world you may be. We can schedule online video calls to take you through your workout in live-time, or provide you with focused training sessions that have been amended to whatever your needs or situation may be. We’ve got your training sorted no matter what your situation may be.
Our memberships have been set up to provide you with the best rates and enough flexibility to go on holiday without losing out on your sessions. You can freeze your membership if you’re away for a prolonged period, or you can allow sessions to roll onto the next month. See our club rules for more information.
Cancelling and moving sessions
We understand that life sometimes throws curveballs. If you arrive late and both you and your personal trainer can over-run a few minutes, then in most circumstances we can keep training to get your workout done. If we have another training session directly after, we encourage you to stay close by and get a few final exercises done whilst we watch over you. Instead of cancelling, we always encourage you to rearrange your session to another time.
If you simply can’t make it, we ask that you let us know 24 hours before your session time. This is to give us enough time to make sure nobody else misses out on that slot. Any sessions cancelled before the 24hr window will incur no charge or loss of session. The Personal Trainer is able to cancel the session at any point and there will be no charge or loss of session to the client in this instance.
If you request to move your session within our 24hr cancellation window, this will be down to the discretion of our House Manager. We may be able to offer you the chance to move your session by a few hours, or even to the day after. Common Purpose will always try to be as flexible as possible and would always prefer that our clients attend and train.
What to bring
All you need is your workout gear, and the CP gym has got everything else covered. We have workout towels waiting for you in the changing room alongside a generous selection of luxury toiletries. Hairdryers and straighteners are also provided to get you ready for whatever you do after your session. Staying hydrated when you train is vital, and the gym has water stations for you to fill up your bottles. After your session, you can enjoy some post-workout recovery in the Front of House Lounge or Garden Space. We offer a full menu of protein shakes, smoothies, nutritional snacks and award-winning coffee.
How to book sessions and get access to the club
Once you have completed your Discovery Package and signed up to a membership or PT package, you’ll then be presented with your membership card and can download our booking app.
We understand our clients are busy so we like to keep things easy. You can book or amend your sessions via the app, or you can email or call our Front of House. Whatever suits you best.
You will need your membership card to gain access to the club and we require all members to ‘tap-in’ at our Front of House to reconcile your session. Should you forget your membership card we can buzz you in via our intercom system. If you lose your card and need to be re-issued one, there is a £5 replacement fee.
Medical questions and injuries
If you are concerned about any injury or your health, we recommend you seek professional medical advice before starting any exercise regime. We have an on-site physiotherapist who we can work alongside. Equally, we can work in tandem with other professionals to ensure you’re fully looked after.
In almost all cases a correctly planned exercise plan will bring greater vitality and health to everyone. If you’re still unconfident, please don’t hesitate to contact us and see if we can help you. We pride ourselves on the experience and skillset to adapt exercise plans to a wide array of ability levels and goals.
