What’s your background and how did you get started in the fitness industry?

Sport has always been a big part of my life, from basketball and football to martial arts and strength training. My interest in fitness became more serious when I started training to change my own body and confidence, which quickly turned into a fascination with the science behind performance and nutrition. I left my original studies in Agricultural Science to study Sport Science in Rome, before moving to London to complete a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. I began coaching in Italy, then continued in London before joining Common Purpose.

How would you describe your coaching style?

Data-informed, adaptable and personal. I love tracking progress and finding meaning in small changes over time, but numbers only matter when they help the individual in front of me. I adapt my coaching to different personalities, goals and lifestyles while keeping the process objective, purposeful and progressive.

What about being a PT inspires or interests you the most?

The exchange with people. Helping someone become stronger, healthier or more confident is incredibly rewarding, but coaching also exposes you to different perspectives, experiences and life stories. I learn constantly from the people I work with, and that combination of human connection and problem-solving keeps the job endlessly interesting.

What achievement as a PT are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown as a coach and the variety of people I’ve learned to help successfully. Over time I’ve become more adaptable, knowledgeable and confident in combining training, nutrition, data and technology to support people in a more complete way.
