What’s your background and how did you get started in the fitness industry?

I’ve always loved being active and playing team sports, but I wasn’t naturally the most athletic person. I had a competitive streak, but my physical abilities didn’t always let me be the beast I wanted to be! At 16, I started training in the gym and saw how much it could build my strength, capabilities and confidence. I studied Nutrition at university, completed my PT and yoga qualifications, spent my placement year working as a fitness coach in the Alps, and continued developing as a PT after graduating.

How would you describe your coaching style?

Tough, but with love. I take the time to really get to know my clients and understand what they need. I won’t force things on them that they don’t want, but I will challenge them to achieve things they genuinely want but don’t yet believe they can. I put a lot of attention to technical details in exercise execution. Members can expect attention, a good push and empathy when it’s really needed.

What about being a PT inspires or interests you the most?

Seeing the positive impact coaching can have on someone’s life is what inspires me most. I love seeing people become happier, more confident and more active, especially when they discover they can enjoy sports or activities they thought they could never do.

What achievement as a PT are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of helping people through genuinely difficult periods in their personal lives and seeing them continue to show up for themselves. Sometimes the biggest achievement isn’t a number on the bar or a change in body composition; it’s helping someone keep going when life gets tough.
