What inspired you to join Common Purpose and start your training journey? 

THE NEED FOR EXTRA HELP WITH REHAB TO REBUILD MUSCLE AND IMPROVE FITNESS AFTER A SNAPPED ACHILLES AND A SLIPPED DISC.

Have you tried anything else before to achieve your goals? If so, what was it? 

I HAD TRIED TO GYM BY MYSELF AND WITHOUT PT ASSISTANCE AND FOUND: I) I LACKED THE SELF-MOTIVATION TO MAINTAIN A CONSISTENT ROUTINE; AND II) I DID NOT HAVE THE EXPERTISE EITHER TO KNOW WHAT EXERCISES TO DO OR HOW TO EXECUTE THOSE EXERCISES PROPERLY, THEREFORE LEADING TO INJURY VERY EASILY.

What’s been the best thing about achieving your results? 

A GENUINE AND MEASURABLE IMPROVEMENT FROM A POSITION OF EXTREME FRUSTRATION WITH MY OWN FITNESS. HAVING BEEN VERY ACTIVE PRE-INJURY, I WAS REALLY STRUGGLING TO GET BACK TO WHERE I WANTED TO BE WITH MY FITNESS. SETTING GOALS AND ACHIEVING THOSE GOALS HAS BEEN A GREAT MOTIVATOR AND HAS MADE ME FEEL MUCH MORE POSITIVE.

How have you found the training process at Common Purpose? 

THOUGHTFUL, CONSIDERED AND VERY ENJOYABLE. A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT IS CLEARLY SPENT BEHIND THE SCENES. AS SOMEONE WHO PREVIOUSLY HATED THE GYM, I NOW LOOK FORWARD TO THE SESSIONS AND THE PURPOSE THEY BRING TO THE WEEK. 

What’s your favorite exercise or workout, and why? 

TRAP BAR DEADLIFT – VERY SATISFYING TO HAVE PROGRESSED FROM BEING UNABLE TO LIFT MY OWN BODY WEIGHT TO BEING ABLE TO LIFT TWICE MY BODY WEIGHT.

What’s your least favorite exercise or workout, and why? 

ANY FORM OF SQUAT – THEY’RE JUST VERY TOUGH!

What kept you motivated on the toughest days? 

THE KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT IT IS LIKE WHEN YOU ARE UNABLE TO EXERCISE AT ALL!

 

Have you noticed any other benefits from your results? 

HUGE BENEFITS IN TERMS OF RUNNING AND CYCLING – RECOVERY AND ENDURANCE ARE MUCH BETTER THAN PREVIOUSLY.

Have your friends or family noticed changes in you since you started training with us? 

YES – A MUCH MORE POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND MORE PURPOSE!

What would you say to anyone considering training with Common Purpose, and why?

DO IT! IT MAKES THE WHOLE PROCESS OF EXERCISING SO ENJOYABLE AND PROVIDES AN EXCELLENT ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH TO EXERCISE. IT IS ALSO EXTREMELY CONVENIENT AND THE SERVICE IS GREAT – AS A RESULT OF WHICH YOU ARE FAR MORE LIKELY TO STICK WITH IT.
